At the end of 2020, I was at a point in my life where I was ready to give up on acting for good. I felt that my career wasn't going anywhere, that the roles were all the same and no one cared about quality or talent.
Then Snipers came along, and changed my life forever. It was far from easy getting a role (and keeping it!) on this movie, and my performance was neither mind-blowing nor did it lead to a sudden avalanche of new opportunities. But being cast in this role, and working with Directors Zhangmo and her father, Zhang Yimou, fundamentally changed the way I see myself, both personally and as an actor, and I will forever be grateful for how it influenced my life.
